So how did you get into network marketing anyway? Well it probably started out with a call from a friend or even a family member wanting to tell you about this incredible MLM business you just had to take a look at, or maybe you answered an ad and then before you knew it you were looking at copies of photocopied checks from someone in the upline that had so many zeros on it you probably walked around the rest of the night in a daze….

The question in your mind was….

Is it really possible to make that much money in a network marketing business, and if so, how to you do it?

Well actually it is, I personally know of people who have earned over $980,000 a month in Network Marketing compensation.

Yes that’s right I said per month!

I guess there is no doubt why we love this industry!

Now I will tell you that most people’s idea of Network Marketing Success is pretty much at $10,000 per month. That’s the magic number.

Now let me make one thing really clear here, network marketing is not a lottery ticket or a free ride you get by signing up under some big leader, it’s hard work, it’s a business and if you are not willing to treat is like a dead serious business then don’t even start.

Now if your experience was anything like mine once you were exposed to this intoxicating MLM business model, you started studying, well heck maybe you just whipped out your credit card and said “sign me up” believing that if they could do it you could too.

Well I spent so many years as a senior executive in International Finance, I was handicapped, I mean that I am so used to researching, I just had to dig under the surface to see if there was more to this than just a bright shiny object.

The result of my study was that I found huge success, and ended in my development of an international “laptop based business” that finally gave me access to the “freedom” as well as the money that I always had wanted. Along of course with being able to dump the idiotic corporate culture, the incessant travel, the mind numbing meetings, and a life that was totally out of control.

So let’s talk about true Network Marketing success and what it’s going to take to get you there.

First let’s talk about the dangerous traps you have to avoid

• Not all deals are created equal – Just because someone is making money in them does not mean you will, or that it’s easy, or that the product has viability or that the company will be around longer than 20 minutes.

• Understand basic compensation plan differences – Now forget all the small variations, like Binary, Hybrid-Binary, Unilevel, Matrix, and others, instead focus on the bigger picture of when the cash flow actually arrives. The key difference in compensation plans is usually based on when you want to be paid. If you are willing to build your business slowly and can wait for the full time income and big rewards, the “Standard MLM” business model will work will for you. However if you need full time income from day one then don’t waste your time on a Standard MLM compensation plan, it will only frustrate you, look instead for Top Tier MLM or Direct Sales Models where you can generate that needed 5 figure monthly income in a few months or so.

• Don’t Live in MLM Lead Poverty – Understand that network marketing success is simply a numbers game. Most people fail in a home based business because the live in lead poverty. They generally try to follow old school approaches handed down from an upline who is totally out of touch with the market of today.  Use only high volume lead generation approaches that can give you anywhere from 10 to 25++ MLM leads a day.  Look should look to generating your MLM leads online for the best results.
